Readers Together 2.0

Writer's picture: Readers TogetherReaders Together

What's this, you say? RT but with a slight change. Well, yes. I had a little hiccup with the original website and lost it all, including my mailbox, but RT 2.0 is going to be even better, I think. The basics on the site are the same, and the ending of the URL is a little different, but that's it. It's still me. I still offer the same services and review when I can.

That's not to say I'm not disappointed about losing some of the content from the first site. Especially the narrator pages, if you are one of those people that screenshot everything, please send them over to me. As of right now, redoing those pages isn't a priority. A lot of work went into them, and whilst only two (Shane East & Erin Mallon) were live, I had five (Emma Wilder, Jason Clarke, Vanessa Edwin, Jo Raylan & Brian Pallino) waiting in the wings and ready to go. My workload is quite heavy, and I have an energetic toddler, so I need to prioritise.

I'm also sad that the reviews are gone. I won't be redoing them. I do not have the time for that. But, I am going to use this as a fresh start. Onwards and upwards.

Plans going forward.

I'm hoping to get a couple more testimonials to add to the site. And I really want to create a page with the books I've worked on (that I can discuss and share) so they can be easily viewed and linked to. We'll see how that goes. Baby steps. I'm going to be focusing on the newsletter again, so make sure you're signed up for that. And I might start an RT meets… on Instagram if I can get enough interest. So let me know your thoughts on that and who you'd like to see.

If you're not in the Facebook Group, you're missing out. Mr. Whitmer reads reviews in his swoony Australian accent, and they can be found nowhere else. He is ours and will not be tempted to stray.

How is your 2021 going so far? Did you make a Goodreads challenge this year? I've managed 15 books this year so far, and I'm in shock. I thought I'd still be in single digits. I've worked on some great books and have some more lined up for later in the year. I just signed on to work with a new author that I think you're going to love.

This year I have been judging the Audies, and it's been a fun experience. You definitely want to check out the awards when they go live. The same goes for the Independent Audiobook Awards.

Stay Safe
